A parliamentary body today recommended raising the age ceiling in civil service to 35 years, what has been a long demand of the students.
The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Administration Ministry came up with the recommendation at a meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad, a release of the parliament secretariat said
সরকারি চাকরিতে প্রবেশের বয়সসীমা ৩৫ বছর এবং অবসরের বয়সসীমা কমপক্ষে ৬৫ বছর করার জন্য জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়কে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার পরামর্শ দিয়েছে সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটি।
আজ বুধবার সংসদ ভবনে অনুষ্ঠিত জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয় সম্পর্কিত সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটির বৈঠকে এ পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়। সংসদ সচিবালয়ের এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ কথা জানানো হয়।
অবশ্য সংসদের চলতি অধিবেশনে ৬ জুন জনপ্রশাসনমন্ত্রী সৈয়দ আশরাফুল ইসলাম এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে জানিয়েছিলেন, সরকারি চাকরিতে প্রবেশের বয়স ৩০ থেকে বাড়িয়ে ৩৫ করার কোনো উদ্যোগ আপাতত নেই।
বুধবার সংসদীয় কমিটির বৈঠকে বেসরকারি শিক্ষক নিবন্ধন ও প্রত্যয়ন কর্তৃপক্ষের (এনটিআরসিএ) মাধ্যমে কেন্দ্রীয়ভাবে শিক্ষক নিয়োগপদ্ধতি বাতিল করে স্থানীয়ভাবে ম্যানেজিং কমিটির মাধ্যমে শিক্ষক নিয়োগ দেওয়ার ব্যবস্থা করার সুপারিশ করা হয়। এর পেছনে কমিটি যুক্তি দেখিয়েছে, এনটিআরসিএর মাধ্যমে শিক্ষক নিয়োগ দেওয়া হলে দীর্ঘসূত্রতা ও অনিয়মের সুযোগ থাকে। তাই এ পদ্ধতি বাতিল করার সুপারিশ করা হয়। নিবন্ধনের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষক নিয়োগের ক্ষেত্রে মৌখিক পরীক্ষা বাতিল করার সুপারিশও করেছে সংসদীয় কমিটি।
এ ছাড়া শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান এমপিওভুক্তির ক্ষেত্রে উপজেলার আকার, ইউনিয়নের সংখ্যা ও শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানের সংখ্যা বিবেচনা করে বাস্তব অবস্থা বিবেচনার মাধ্যমে স্কুল-কলেজ সরকারীকরণের পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়।
বৈঠকে জানানো হয়, বর্তমানে বিভিন্ন মন্ত্রণালয়, বিভাগ, দপ্তরে বিশেষ অনুরোধে’ ৪ জন সচিব, ৩৬ জন অতিরিক্ত সচিব, ১১১ জন যুগ্ম সচিব এবং ২০০ জন উপসচিব তিন বছরের অধিক সময় ধরে রয়েছেন।
কমিটির সভাপতি সাংসদ এইচ এন আশিকুর রহমানের সভাপতিত্বে বৈঠকে কমিটির সদস্য এ বি এম ফজলে করিম চৌধুরী, মুস্তফা লুৎফুল্লাহ, র আ ম উবায়দুল মোক্তাদির চৌধুরী, মো. আবদুল্লাহ, খোরশেদ আরা হক বৈঠকে অংশ নেন।
