Earlier, on Thursday (February 03), the government had issued a notification extending the ongoing restrictions to prevent the spread of coronavirus till February 21. In this, a number of instructions were issued, including the closure of all types of educational institutions in the country. Meanwhile, in the last few days, the corona detection rate has started decreasing comparatively in the country.
At present, the highly contagious type of corona is being dominated in the country. With this kind of spread of Corona, the infection and death in the country have increased several times within a month. The government’s restrictions are in place to prevent the spread of Corona. Schools, colleges, and educational institutions will remain closed across the country till February 21.
A total of 35,074 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours. The patient detection rate against the test is 23.83 percent. The previous day it was 22.95 percent. On Thursday, that number was 27.43 percent. On this day, The Director-General of The Department of Health Prof. Khursheed Alam visited Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
He also said there would be no new restrictions. Prof Khursheed Alam said restrictions have been imposed on the advice of the health ministry due to the rise in corona infections in the country. We will request to lift those restrictions if the infection decreases. He said, “The restrictions imposed will remain in force until the new directive comes in. There will also be no new restrictions. ’’
