Meta launches new ‘shortcut’ feature in Messenger app
Meta launches a new ‘shortcut’ feature in the Messenger app. According to the technology site Verge, Meta opened two new shortcuts on March 29. These are ‘silent‘ and ‘@everyone‘. The ‘/silent‘ shortcut will come in handy if you want to answer without any words without attracting the attention of everyone in the group. The parent company Meta is introducing a new ‘shortcut’ feature in the social media messenger app. Using these new shortcuts, messages can be sent without any words.
By sending notifications to everyone in the group chat together, their attention can be drawn using the ‘@everyone‘ shortcut. Meanwhile, in the next few days, some more shortcuts will be updated to the Messenger app, The Verge said. While chatting, you can easily find the preferred zif using the ‘/gif‘ shortcut. If you mention the topic associated with ‘/gif‘, multiple zip suggestions will also appear in the chat window.
In addition, direct financial transactions are coming from the chatbox of the Messenger app on Android and iOS devices in the United States using the ‘/pay‘ shortcut.
