According to the policy-2023 formulated by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council for medical admission, online applications can be made at the scheduled time. The applicant must be a citizen of Bangladesh.

Students who want to participate in the admission test of the 2022-23 session will have to pass the HSC examination in 2022, SSC in 2020 or HSC in 2021 and SSC examination in 2019. Must have passed the SSC examination within two years before passing the HSC examination.

According to the department sources, the number of seats in 37 government-run medical colleges in the country is 4,350. Out of the total seats, 4,230 seats have been allotted in the general quota, 87 in the freedom fighters’ quota (2 percent), nine in the tribal quota, three in the non-tribal quota, and eight for the tribal students of other districts.

The admission test for MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical colleges and dental colleges and units in the country will be held centrally under the Department of Health. Director (of Medical Education) of the Directorate of Health Education Prof. Dr. AKM Ahsan Habib said the MBBS admission test will be held in accordance with hygiene. Wearing a mask is mandatory. Physical distance will be maintained. Hand watches, pocket watches, calculators, mobile phones and any kind of electronic items are not allowed to enter the examination hall. All the people engaged in the examination, including the super, teachers, will not be able to use mobile phones. The director said the results of the test will be released in quick time as usual.
