Al Azhar University Scholarship for International Students 2024
Egypt’s Al-Azhar University is offering international students the opportunity to study in undergraduate and postgraduate studies under scholarships. Students from other countries including Bangladesh can apply in the academic year 2023-24. The application deadline is 9 August 2023.
This information was given in a notification of the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education. It has been said in the notification that the application should be made in accordance with the appropriate rules. Students proficient in Arabic language will be given priority for this scholarship.

Interested candidates will have to submit information to the online http://202.72.235.210/scholarship.alazhar link of the Ministry of Education. Students will also find guidelines for filling the form here. The link will remain open until 12 noon on August 9. All information about the application can also be found on the website of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education.
Al-Azhar University in Egypt is one of the world’s leading educational institutions. This center of learning was established in 971 AD during the Fatimid Caliphate to teach the Qur’an and Islamic law. At present, secular issues are also included in the curriculum.
Former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser converted Al-Azhar into a university in 1961, and many secular subjects were also included. Such as business, economics, science, pharmacy, medicine, engineering, agriculture etc. Outside Egypt, there are branches of Al-Azhar University in Gaza in Palestine and Doha, Qatar.
Currently, more than 30,000 teachers teach in 15,155 classrooms at Al-Azhar. More than 500,000 students took lessons from them.
Twenty percent of the students are foreigners. Currently, students from 102 countries are studying at Al-Azhar. The number of employees and officials of Al-Azhar, including teachers, is about 131,000. However, about 4,000 educational institutions in Egypt are run under Al-Azhar. As a result, the current students of Al-Azhar are 2 million.
