Jagannath University releases admission notification for vacant seats 2022. In Jagannath University (JU) 2020-2021 undergraduate (honors) and BBA 1st year vacant seats, students have been called for admission interviews on the basis of merit order. This was stated in a notice published on the university’s website on Thursday (February 10).

 

According to the notification, the students of the ‘A’ unit whose merit range is 4533 to 5532 will be interviewed on February 14 in the central auditorium room from 9 am to 3 pm. Those with a merit order of 5533 to 6532 will be interviewed on February 15 from 9 am to 3 pm at the same central location. Those with a merit order of 6533 to 7500 will be interviewed on February 16 at the same venue from 9 am to 3 pm.

 

Among the students of the ‘B’ unit, those whose merit is 1879 to 2190 will be interviewed on the 9th floor of the law department from 9 am to 3 pm on February 14. And those whose merit order is 2191 to 2500 will be interviewed on the 9th floor of the law department from 9 am to 3 pm on February 14. Among the students of ‘C’ unit, whose merit range is 1247 to 2000, they will be interviewed on February 14 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Business Studies.

 

According to the notification, the students who could not get admission in the merit list from 1st to 7th merit list can participate in the interview. The students appearing for the interview will be allotted subject to the vacancy of seats according to the merit order. Students who receive the subject in the interview will not get any migration opportunities. Even in the case of filling up vacant seats (if any) of a department later, they will not get a chance to change the subject. The allotment list will be published on February 22. The admission has to be done by submitting the admission fee and documents to the designated department between February 23-24 at 4 pm.

 

Apart from this, the merit-class students will have to download and fill out the prescribed form from the university’s website for the appointment slip and interview according to the prescribed place and schedule. This is the last step for admission to Jagannath University in 2020-2021.

According to the merit order, there are a total of 490 vacant seats allotted for admission (units – ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’). The admission fee for ‘A’ unit, ‘C’ unit and faculty of arts, faculty of social sciences, departments, and institutes belonging to faculty of law and institutes (excluding four specialized departments) is Rs 10,400. The admission fee for B’ unit and film and television, music, fine arts, and drama departments is Rs 12,400 along with practical class fees.

 

The student nominated for admission will have to deposit the admission fees through cash or rocket or sea cash mobile banking. Each student is required to submit the following certificates and documents in the nominated category for admission: the admit card signed by the invigilator of the GST bunch of admission tests; The admission form printed online and 4 (four) copies of the newly minted passport size color photograph; The original certificate and marks of the SSC/equivalent examination and one attested photocopy of each and the original certificate/number sheet of hsc/equivalent examination, registration card and appreciation letter given by the head of the educational institution and one attested photocopy of each.
