Meanwhile, two meetings of vice-chancellors of universities on Thursday and Friday are likely to take an important decision on the admission process of 20 general and science and technology universities in the country. The university’s deputy registrar (education) and admission management secretary Abu Hasan confirmed the matter on Wednesday (April 6). Earlier, the decision was taken at a meeting of the admission management committee chaired by the university’s routine vice-chancellor Prof Nurul Alam on Tuesday.

As per the decision taken in the meeting, the admission committee of the university has fixed the tentative time for JU’s first-year admission test from May 18 to June 16, while the tentative time for the admission test will be from July 31 to August 11. However, the schedule will be finalized after a meeting of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the university council, an association of vice-chancellors.
