The decision to extend application time for admission to medical college. According to sources in the medical admission test organizing committee sources, it was initially the idea of the authorities not to extend the application deadline. However, considering the students who have applied for the re-examination of HSC results, it has been decided to extend the application time. Till March 15, students are going to get the opportunity to apply online.

The Department of Health Education has decided to extend the application time for admission to government-private medical colleges in 2021-22. The department will issue a notification in this regard on Tuesday (March 8) or tomorrow on Wednesday (March 9). This was confirmed on Tuesday (March 8) afternoon by the Director (Medical Education) of the Directorate of Health Education Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Ahsan Habib. He said it has been decided to extend the application period by five days. Applicants can apply online until March 15. The money can be deposited till 11:59 pm on March 16.

Bangladeshi nationals who have passed SSC and HSC examinations from foreign education programs will have to equalize their certificates. For this, you have to deposit Rs 2,000 and apply along with the director of the department of health education (medical education and manpower development). As in the previous year, the merit list will be prepared by deducting 5 marks from the total marks in the case of HSC pass candidates and 7.5 marks from the total marks in the case of students admitted in the previous year’s Government Medical, Dental College Dental Unit.

Earlier on February 24, the medical admission notice was released in 2021-22. According to the published notification, the application period is scheduled to end on March 10, but it is being extended to March 15. And the entrance of the admission test can be downloaded from March 26 to 29. On April 1, the admission test will be held simultaneously across the country from 10 am to 11 am.

Those who have cleared HSC and equivalent examinations (including physics, chemistry, biology) in 2020 or 2021 can apply for admission. The GPA obtained in SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations will be assessed by determining a total of 200 marks. In this case, 75 marks have been fixed for GPA obtained in SSC and 125 marks for GPA obtained in HSC. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of a total of 300 marks.
