The results will be published on the website at the end of the meeting.

This BCS exam has been repeatedly interrupted due to the Corona pandemic. The PSC also had to rush to take the Viva exam. Due to the increase in the incidence of Corona, many times it had to be postponed and started again. All in all, this BCS lags behind due to Corona. The source said there will be an increase of 40 posts in the customs cadre in the BCS.

The PSC had released the notification for the recruitment of a total of 1,903 cadres in this BCS. But it was then said that this number could increase further. According to the cadre, the BCS is supposed to recruit 200 people in the administration, 72 in the police, 25 in foreign affairs, 24 in the excise, 32 in customs excise, and about 800 in the education cadre. A source in the PSC today said that along with these posts, 40 more posts in the customs cadre in the BCS will increase.

On January 27 last year, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) released the results of the 40th BCS written examination. In this, 10,964 people passed. The PSC had released the 40th BCS notification in August 2018. 4,12,532 candidates had applied for the 40th BCS preliminary examination. Of these, 3,27,000 candidates took the exam. Among them, 20,277 passed the prelims.
