These proposals have been made by the ‘Inter-Education Board Chairman’s Committee’, an organization of the chairmen of the education boards. In the committee meeting held on Sunday, it was also proposed not to take the ‘electoral test’ to appear in the SSC and HSC examinations. In this case, as an alternative, the committee has proposed to take the preparatory test before the start of the examination. These proposals have come mainly due to the lack of proper class activities due to corona infection.

The chairman of an education board said that the chairmen of the education boards have proposed to conduct examinations of all the subjects except information and communication technology, religion and Bangladesh and the world identity in the SSC examination. And in HSC, apart from information and communication technology, the rest of the subjects have been asked to take the test. Last year, SSC has conducted an examination in the science stream of physics, chemistry, biology in the subject of 50 marks. This year, exams will be held in a total of six subjects including Bengali, English and Mathematics. Group-wise subjects will be between 45 marks. Of these, the creative will be of 30 marks (three questions to be answered) and the impersonal will be of 15 marks.

However, if the first paper of a subject (e.g. Bengali, English) is of 55 marks, then the second paper exam will be of 45 marks. There will be a total of 100 marks on the test of two papers. Last year, there were one and a half hours for the 50 marks test, but this time for 45 marks, the time has been increased by 30 minutes to 2 hours. Last year, in the humanities department, the examination of history, municipal policy, geography in three subjects was between 45 marks, but this time it will be 55 marks. And Bengali, English, Maths will be added to group-based subjects. Out of the 55 marks, the creative will be 40 marks (four questions have to be answered) and the impersonal will be of 15 marks. The time was set at 2 hours.

In the commerce stream, this time the exam will be held at the same number in six subjects, including three group-wise subjects, according to the same time. Meanwhile, last year, in HSC, only group-based subjects were held in all the departments. In the science stream, there was an hour and a half for the examination of 32 marks in each subject. This year, 2 hours will be given for the 45 marks test in those subjects. Of these, the creative will be of 30 marks (three questions to be answered) and the impersonal will be of 15 marks. Meanwhile, this year too, the Inter-Education Coordination Board has decided not to conduct the election test before the SSC-equivalent and HSC-equivalent examinations. However, if any educational institution wants, it can take a preparatory test.
