In the short syllabus, the SSC-HSC and equivalent examinations of 2023 will be conducted. For this, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has proposed to the Ministry of Education to conduct the examination next year in the revised (short) syllabus prescribed for the current year. The Ministry of Education has called a press conference in the meeting room of the ministry at 12.30 pm on Tuesday (April 12).

In this regard, The Chairman (Routine Responsibility) of the NCTB, Prof. Md. Mashiuzzaman told the media, “I have sent a proposal to the ministry to take the SSC-HSC and equivalent examinations next year in the syllabus like this year. The proposal was sent in March. Even if we make a proposal, the ministry of education will take a decision on it.

As a reason for taking the short syllabus, the NCTB says that it will not be possible to complete the full syllabus of the 2023 examinees. Apart from this, the question papers will have to be prepared as per the syllabus of 2021 and 2022 for irregular candidates, which can create problems in terms of proper management.

Dhaka Education Board Chairman (Acting) Prof. Tapan Kumar Sarkar said, “Like this year, next year’s SSC and HSC exams will be held in the revised syllabus. However, how many subjects will be tested, how many numbers, or how many times, the Education Minister will tell in the press conference. ’

It is known that SSC candidates of 2023 were supposed to take classes in class 9 from January 1, 2021, but started on September 12, 2021. Hsc students started on March 2 instead of July 1. During the closure of educational institutions, students take part in the learning process by taking television and online classes and assignments. However, there is still a lack of learning.
