We will know tonight when educational institutions will open. Education Minister Dipu Mani told Ganamadham that there is a meeting with the National Technical Advisory Committee on Corona tonight. It is not yet clear whether it will be possible to decide on the holidays in educational institutions tonight. The meeting of the National Technical Advisory Committee on Corona on Wednesday (February 16) night will be attended by officials of the education administration, including the Education Minister.

Meanwhile, after the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected chairmen at the Chandpur Deputy Commissioner’s office this afternoon, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni told reporters that educational institutions may be opened this month. However, strict hygiene has to be adhered to. A decision will be taken after reviewing the corona situation with the consultative committee. Considering the corona situation, as many classes as possible will be taken.

It is to be noted that on March 17, 2020, the government had announced the closure of all educational institutions in the country due to corona infection. After some improvement in the corona situation, educational institutions were opened in September last year after 18 long months. At that time, educational institutions were open, but the class activities were going on in a small way. Classes for all classes didn’t take place all day. But due to the increase in the number of new corona infections, the government again declared a holiday in educational institutions last month. The holiday began on January 21. The first holiday was scheduled to end on February 6. However, it was later extended again till February 21.
