All educational institutions have been closed since January 20 as the infection has increased. On the other hand, primary-level educational institutions will open on March 2. But the doors of educational institutions are not opening for pre-primary class students right now.
Meanwhile, even if these educational institutions are opened, not all students will be able to take classes in person right now. Only those who have received the second dose of the vaccine can be present in the classroom. The rest will attend classes online. In this phase, secondary, higher secondary and higher education institutions are opening. Primary schools will open from March 2, but classes in pre-primary are not yet held.
It is known that due to the increase in corona infection, the government has imposed 11 restrictions from January 13. On January 21, the cabinet department issued a fresh five-point directive, including the closure of educational institutions. It ordered the closure of educational institutions till February 6. After that, the government decided to extend the educational institution by two more weeks. Meanwhile, on Thursday (February 17), the Education Minister, Dr. Deepu Mani said that from February 22, classroom teaching will start at secondary, higher secondary, and university levels. Primary schools will open on March 2.
Earlier, educational institutions in the country were closed from March 17, 2020, to September 11, 2021, for the same reason. After that, on September 12, when the educational institutions were opened, the class education program was started in a limited way. During this period, the 2022 SSC-HSC examination was held by reducing the subject and time.
