The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Zakir Hossain. According to the press release, initially, classes will be held on two days a week (Sunday and Tuesday). The meeting was attended by The Secretary of the Ministry Aminul Islam Khan, Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Alamgir Md. Mansoor Alam, Additional Secretary Ruhul Amin, Mosharraf Hossain, and others were present.

Classes for pre-primary students across the country are starting after being closed for two years amid the coronavirus outbreak. According to a press release from the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, classes for pre-primary students will start on March 15. According to the information, due to Corona, all educational institutions were closed from March 17, 2020. When the situation improved, institutions from primary to higher education levels were opened on September 12, 2021. However, the pre-primary level is closed.

As a result, teaching in the classroom in pre-primary closed for two years. In these pre-first classes, many students stopped teaching in the classroom a few months after admission. Again, many students have been admitted to this closed state. In September last year, schools, colleges, and universities opened on a limited scale due to the decline in Covid-19 infections but did not open in the pre-primary. Educational institutions were closed again in January as infections increased. Now that the infection has come down again, all classes are slowly opening up. Finally, the government also decided to take the pre-primary students back to the classes.
