Dhaka University Admission Circular 2024 Apply Online has been published today. DU Admission Notice for Undergraduate Program for the Academic Year 2022-2023. Only those students who have passed secondary or equivalent and higher secondary or equivalent examinations of 2022 from 2017 to 2024 and those who meet the prescribed conditions for admission to different units of Dhaka University will be able to apply for admission to the undergraduate program in the academic year 2023-2024.

DU Admission 2023

Admission seekers can apply online through the Dhaka University Admission Website (https://admission.eis.du.ac.bd) from 04:00 pm on 18/12/2023 to 11:59 pm on 05/01/2024. The application fee is Tk 1050/- (one thousand). Students will submit the application fee at any branch of four state-owned commercial banks (Sonali, Janata, Agrani, Rupali) or using online debit/credit card, or mobile financial services.

Students will be able to apply for admission to 04 (four) units. Detailed admission information will be mentioned in the admission guidelines of the concerned unit given on the website.

Science Unit:
For admission to all departments under the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and related institutes.
All the departments/institutes in which the application can be made for admission under this unit will be mentioned in detail in the admission guidelines of the unit given on the website.
Candidates who have passed Alim and IGCSE/O level and IAL/GCE A level examinations in the science section of the Higher Secondary and Madrasah Education Board in the Science and Agricultural Sciences section have a minimum of 8.00 GPA-2 in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination (including the 4th subject) (secondary/equivalent and higher secondary/equivalent examination should have a minimum of 3.5 separately) they can apply for admission.

However, students of the Humanities and Commerce section of the Higher Secondary and Madrasah Education Board will also be able to apply for admission to this unit. In that case, the sum of GPA-2 obtained in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination (including the 4th subject) of the student should be at least 7.5 (at least 3.0 separately).

Arts, Law, and Social Science Units:

For admission to the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Law, all departments under the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the respective institutes.
All the departments/institutes in which admission can be applied under this unit will be mentioned in detail in the admission guidelines of the unit given on the website.

Candidates who have passed Alim and IGCSE/O level and IAL /GCE A level examinations in the humanities section of the Higher Secondary Board and the General Branch of the Madrasah Education Board, who have a minimum of 7.5 GPA-2 in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination (including the 4th subject) (secondary/equivalent and higher secondary/equivalent examination should have a minimum of 3.0 separately) can apply for admission. However, students of the science and commerce section of the Higher Secondary and Madrasah Education Board will also be able to apply for admission to this unit. In that case, the sum of GPA-II obtained in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination (including the 4th subject) of the student should be at least 8.0 (at least 3.5 separately) for the science branch and a minimum of 7.5 (at least 3.0 separately) for the commerce branch.

Business Education Unit:

Under this unit, all the departments under the Faculty of Business Studies that can be applied for admission will be mentioned in detail in the admission guidelines of the unit given on the website.

Candidates who have passed the Business Education Branch of the Board of Higher Secondary Education and the IGCSE / O level and IAL / GCE A level examination have a minimum of 7.5 (secondary/equivalent and higher secondary/equivalent examination should have a minimum of 3.00 separately) in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination (including the 4th subject) they can apply for admission. However, students of the science and humanities section of the Higher Secondary and Madrasah Education Board will also be able to apply for admission to this unit. In that case, the sum of GPA-II obtained in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination (including the 4th subject) of the student should be at least 8.0 (at least 3.5 separately) for the science branch and a minimum of 7.5 (minimum 3.0 separately) for the humanities section.

Unit of Fine Arts:
Under this unit, all the departments under the Faculty of Fine Arts that can be applied for admission will be mentioned in detail in the admission guidelines of the unit given on the website.

Candidates who have passed in any branch of secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination should have a minimum of 6.5 GPA in secondary and higher secondary/equivalent examination (including 4th subject) (secondary/equivalent and higher secondary/equivalent examination separately should have a minimum of 3.0).
Applicable to all units (IGCSE/O level and IAL/GCE A level candidates)

1. From 2017 to 2020, students who have passed at least 5 subjects in THE IGCSE / O level examination and at least 2 subjects in the IAL / GCE A level examination published after May 10, 2022, will be able to apply for admission. They must have at least a B-grade in 4 subjects and at least C-grade in 3 subjects out of a total of 7 subjects at the IGCSE/O level and IAL/GCE A level respectively.
2. Candidates with equivalent foreign certificates/diplomas can apply with the permission of the head of the concerned unit. However, they will be able to participate in the admission test only if equality is determined by the concerned faculty. Apart from this, all the candidates will have to fulfill other conditions set by the concerned unit.

Admission in quota
Ward quota of teachers/officers/employees working in Dhaka University (only boys/girls/husband/wife), tribal/small ethnic groups, Harijan and Dalit communities, disabled (vision, speech, hearing, physical, neuro-developmental disorders, transgender / hijra), children of freedom fighters/grandsons/granddaughters of freedom fighters, players (only students who have passed the HSC examination from Bangladesh Sports Education Institute BKSP) In the meantime, the prescribed form will have to be collected by displaying the admit card of the admission test from the dean’s office of that unit. After completing the prescribed form of quota properly, the certificate/certificate/certificate of the quota who wants to be admitted to the quota should be submitted to the office of the concerned unit head during office hours.

(a) In the case of ward quota, with the certificate of the head of the concerned office of The University of Dhaka.
(b) With attested photocopies of certificates of heads of respective tribes/ minor ethnic groups/deputy commissioners in case of tribal/small ethnic group quota
(c) In the case of the Harijan and Dalit community quota, with the certificate of the head of the Harijan and Dalit community organization.
(d) With a certificate of accuracy in the case of disability quota (vision, speech, hearing, physical and neuro-developmental disorders, transgender/ hijra).
(e) In the case of quota, including the children of freedom fighters/grandsons/granddaughters of freedom fighters, with certificates issued by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs or certificates of freedom fighters countersigned by the then Hon’ble Prime Minister under the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad from 1997 to 2001.
(f) Only students who have passed the HSC examination from Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Sansthan (BKSP) can apply for the player quota. In this case, a certificate must be obtained by the Bangladesh Sports Education Institute.
