Dhaka University (DU) will publish the results of the admission test of arts, law and social science unit this week. The results are expected to be released on Thursday or Friday. However, there is no possibility of publishing the results in a day with the fine arts unit, said the arts unit officials.

Professor Dr Abdul Basir, coordinator of the Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit and Dean of the Faculty of Arts, told The Daily Campus on Sunday (May 28) that it takes about 26-27 days from seeing the account of a unit to giving the results. As such, we are moving forward. We plan to release the results on Thursday or Friday later this week.

Asked if the results will be published in a day with the fine arts unit, he said, “No, we have not coordinated with them. Two separate units. The results will also be published separately.

Dhaka University admission test application ended on March 20. A total of 2,98,430 people applied against 5,965 seats in four units.

According to the data provided by the DU Admission Committee, a total of 1,22,882 applications were received against 2,934 seats in arts, law and social science units. About 42 students are vying for one seat.
