The holy Hajj will be held in Saudi Arabia on June 27, 2023, subject to the sighting of the moon. The Bilateral Hajj Agreement 2023 was signed between the Royal Saudi Government and the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh on 09.01.2023. According to the hajj agreement, this year the quota of hajj pilgrims has been fixed at 1,27,198. Of these, 15,000 people will be able to perform hajj under government management and 1,12,198 under private management. This year, pre-arrival immigration of 100% of hajj pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia through Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport will be held at the airport as per the “Makkah Road Agreement”.

Today is 01.02.2023 AD to prepare and decide on the package on the occasion of holy Hajj 2023. A meeting of the Executive Committee on Hajj Management was held at 12:00 pm with Hon’ble State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan, MP, in the chair. The meeting reviewed the expenses of various sectors included in the Hajj package and took a decision. According to the decision, the price of the Hajj package was fixed at Tk 6,83,018.00 (six lahks eighty-three thousand eighteen) under the government management. It is to be noted that the government package has been fixed according to the C-category price of the seminar tent.

Interested persons will have to apply online from the user related to hajj registration at the Deputy Commissioner’s office (https://prp.pilgrimdb.org/guides) at Fart-3 (can be downloaded from www.hajj.gov.bd).

Hajj Registration 2023 Bangladesh age limit

Since 2016, any person who wants to go to Hajj, regardless of government or private, has to write his name in a list of the government first. The removal of the name in this list is called pre-registration. This list is not different from year to year, but only one list. And before that, the name is raised on the basis that you will get the quota to go to Hajj first. When the name is raised in this list, a serial number is given. The earlier the serial, the more likely it is to get a chance in his Hajj quota.

For this pre-registration, nid, Rs 30,752 (Rs 30,000 if officially) is required, contact details and birth certificate and passport size photograph if you are below 18 years of age.
Anyone can pre-register from any Hajj agency. Later, if you want to go to Hajj through another agency, the agency can be changed according to the government rules or if you do not want to go to Hajj, the registration can be canceled or the hajj can be postponed by one year.

Considering the health risks, people above the age of 65 are not getting the opportunity to perform Hajj this year. Those who go will have to take two doses of covid vaccine.
