The admission test for the 1st-year honors class in the 2020-21 academic year will be held on 12th November in Home Economics Colleges under the Home Economics Unit of Dhaka University. Earlier on July 13, DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. The meeting chaired by Akhtaruzzaman finalized the date of the admission test of the Home Economics Unit.

Five colleges of Home Economics have a total of 2475 seats in different colleges as against five subjects. Among the five colleges under DU, Azimpur Home Economics College (new name Government College of Applied Human Science, Azimpur) is Government. And the remaining 4 are private.
