This information has been given in the notification issued by the Inter-Education Board Examination Regulatory Sub-Committee of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education last Thursday.
According to the notification, this year’s SSC and equivalent and HSC and equivalent examinations will be held in only 3 group-based elective subjects as per the reorganized short syllabus. By reducing the test time and test number, the test will be taken in accordance with the hygiene rules.

In 2021, SSC and equivalent and HSC and equivalent examinations will have to participate in assignment activities as part of preparation for regular, irregular, partial failure, private examination and GPA development examination. Regular, Irregular Private Candidates and GPA Development SSC-HSC Candidates are required to participate in assignment activities for only 3 group-based elective subjects.
The notification further said that if a candidate who has failed in partial subject (failed in one or two subjects) has failed in elective subject, then the examinee has to participate in the assignment activities in his failed elective subject. For example, if a candidate who has failed in a partial subject fails in Bangla (compulsory subject) and Chemistry (optional subject), then he / she will participate in the assignment activities only in Chemistry subject. Candidates who fail in the required and fourth subjects do not have to participate in the assignment activities.
Students are asked to collect assignments from the website of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education and complete them as per the guidelines and submit them to the concerned educational institution.
