It is learned that in October 2020, the Directorate of Primary Education published a notification for the recruitment of 32,577 assistant teachers. Later, in a meeting held at the Secretariat in March 2022 with State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Zakir Hossain in the chair, it was decided that a total of 45,000 assistant teachers will be appointed this year. However, after withdrawing from that decision, it was decided to appoint teachers in 32,577 posts mentioned during the notification last November.

According to the ministry sources, it has been decided to increase about 5,000 posts. According to the new decision, 37,500 teachers will be appointed in government primary schools. The results will be published on Wednesday.

Farid Ahmed, secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, recently told The Daily Campus that the decision to increase the number of posts of assistant teachers in primary schools has been taken after reviewing the number of posts of assistant teachers. The result of the recruitment of assistant teacher will be published on Wednesday.

According to the information, about 13 lakh 9 thousand job seekers applied for the post of primary assistant teacher. The written examination for the recruitment of assistant teachers of primary has been held in three phases across the country. In all, 1 lakh 51 thousand 825 people have passed in these phases. Of these, 40 thousand 862 people passed in the first phase, 53 thousand 595 in the second phase and 57 thousand 368 in the third phase.

The next Viva examination of those who pass the written examination is held. The results of the oral examination and the written examination will be published together and the final result will be published. Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has done the work of preparing the final result.
