It is learned that more than 37,000 primary teachers are being appointed. Primary and Mass Education Ministry Secretary Farid Ahmed said that the number of posts is increasing by another 5,000, although notices have been issued for the recruitment of 32,577 teachers.

According to the Ministry of Mass Education, the final results will be published on December 14 after verifying the actual vacant posts.

The notification for the recruitment of assistant teachers in the primary was published in October 2020. Although the written and oral examination will be taken in three stages for the appointment of teachers, the final result will be published only once. In the first phase, 40 thousand 862 people passed the written examination, in the second phase 53 thousand 595 and in the third phase 57 thousand 368 people. In this recruitment test, 13 lakh 9 thousand 461 candidates applied. The oral exam ended last October.

At the pre-primary level, 25,598 teachers and 6,979 teachers were supposed to be appointed in the vacant posts of primary schools, but the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education informed that 45,000 posts would be appointed. However, after the oral examination, the primary education administration withdrew from that position. Later, under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, it was decided to increase the post of teacher recruitment.
