Terrorism Paragraph Class 6,7,8,9,10, SSC, HSC (200- 500 words) সন্ত্রাসবাদ অনুচ্ছেদ: Terrorism is a violent and politically motivated act of intimidation, coercion, or disruption that targets innocent civilians or non-combatants. It is a form of asymmetric warfare, in which a weaker entity employs violence against a stronger one to achieve political, social, or religious goals.

Terrorism can take many forms, including bombings, shootings, kidnappings, assassinations, and cyber attacks. It often aims to create fear and panic among the general population and disrupt the normal functioning of society. It can be carried out by individuals, groups, or even states.

Terrorism has been a global problem for decades, and it has caused significant loss of life and economic damage. Governments around the world have implemented various measures to combat terrorism, including increased surveillance, intelligence gathering, and military action. However, there is an ongoing debate about the most effective ways to prevent and respond to terrorist attacks, while also protecting individual rights and freedoms.

Terrorism in Bangladesh
Bangladesh has experienced a significant increase in terrorist activities over the past few years. The most notable terrorist group in Bangladesh is the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), which was responsible for a series of bombings in the country in 2005. Since then, JMB has been responsible for numerous other attacks, including the July 2016 terrorist attack in Dhaka’s Holey Artisan Bakery, in which 22 people were killed, including 17 foreign nationals.

Other groups that have been involved in terrorist activities in Bangladesh include Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami Bangladesh (HUJI-B), and the Islamic State (IS). These groups have carried out attacks on secular bloggers, intellectuals, and members of religious minorities.

The Bangladeshi government has taken a number of measures to combat terrorism, including arrests and convictions of terrorists, increased surveillance, and counterterrorism operations. However, there are concerns about the government’s use of these measures to suppress political opposition and dissent.

The international community has also been involved in efforts to combat terrorism in Bangladesh, including providing assistance and training to security forces and supporting efforts to promote religious tolerance and interfaith dialogue.

In recent years, Bangladesh has also witnessed an increase in extremist violence and radicalization, particularly among the youth. This has been attributed to various factors, including poverty, lack of education, and the spread of extremist ideologies through social media.

The government has taken steps to address these issues, including launching programs to promote education and economic development in vulnerable communities and cracking down on extremist propaganda on social media.
human rights groups have raised concerns about the government’s approach, including allegations of extrajudicial killings and arbitrary detentions of suspects, as well as restrictions on freedom of speech and association.

The situation in Bangladesh remains complex and multifaceted, and efforts to address terrorism and extremism must take into account the underlying social and economic factors that contribute to these issues. At the same time, it is important to balance these efforts with respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, in order to prevent further radicalization and promote a stable and democratic society.
