Torjoni Browser Download ‘তর্জনী ব্রাউজার’ The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division has launched the national mobile browser ‘Tarjani’, a website viewing app, to provide easy access to the internet in Bengal. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed inaugurated the browser at the Computer Council (BCC) auditorium in the capital’s Agargaon on Tuesday. He said, “Today is a historic March 7. A unique day in the history of the freedom struggle and liberation war of the Bengali nation. On this day in 1971, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave a call for Bangladesh’s freedom struggle at the historic Racecourse Maidan (now Suhrawardy Udyan). And so on the occasion of March 7, the national mobile browser Index finger has been launched at the initiative of the ICT Department. We are now entering smart Bangladesh from Digital Bangladesh. We have to be self-reliant. We want to create a smart Bangladesh ecosystem that will be self-reliant. The Bangla browser has been launched for that self-reliant Smart Bangladesh. Its own operating system will also be launched in the future. ’

The index browser has been developed under the project ‘Setting up a Safe E-Mail and Digital Literacy Center for the Government of Bangladesh’ of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under the ICT Division. The feature of the browser is that it has Bengali language and its Bangla optimization is stronger than other browsers. The English language can also be selected in the browser.
For easy internet access, the browser has various features including an index search bar, dark mode, tabs, ad off, bookmarks, the privacy of personal information, and incognito. The browser can be used for free from Apple’s App Store and Android Google Play Store. The desktop version of the browser will also be launched in the future.
Saiful Alam Khan, Director of the project ‘Establishment of Safe E-mail and Digital Literacy Center for the Government of Bangladesh’, Professor BM Moinul Hossain of the Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka, Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Managing Director of Live Technologies was also present on the occasion. Mr. Sharif Uddin, Director of Live Technologies, Mr. Yasir Arafat and Director of Live Technologies Mr. Tamzid Atul were also present.
