In order to maintain social distance among the examinees, this year, the candidates of science, humanities and business education departments were taken at different times without taking the exam at the same time.
A total of 13,99,690 students appeared for the exam under 11 education boards across the country. The examination of the theoretical subjects of general education boards began on December 2 and ended on December 30. The madrasa education board’s exam for theory subjects began on December 2 and ended on December 19. And the examination of the theoretical subject of the Technical Education Board started from December 2 and ended on December 8.
This year, students from 9,183 institutes appeared for the HSC examination in 11 education boards at 2,621 centres. Out of the total number of examinees, 7,29,738 are students and 6,69,952 are students.
There were 11,38,017 HSC candidates in nine general education boards. One lakh 13 thousand 144 people appeared in the alim examination of madrasa education board and 1 lakh 48 thousand 503 in technical.
There were a total of 406 candidates in eight centres abroad. These included Jeddah 114, Riyadh 74, Tripoli 2, Doha 79, Abu Dhabi 34, Dubai 26, Bahrain 58 and Oman’s Saham 19.
