2nd time in the admission test, students are in favor of having the opportunity to take the exam: VC; The Jessore University of Science and Technology (JB) has no objection to the second chance in the admission test for 2021-22, the vice-chancellor of the university, Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said this during a conversation on Saturday (January 29) afternoon.
Earlier, on January 19, the University Grants Commission (UGC) had sent a letter to the universities seeking their opinion on the admission test for the second time in the 2021-22 admission test and in the light of the short syllabus.
When asked about the letter, the Vice-Chancellor said, “I don’t know about the UGC’s letter. But our university has always been and will always be on the side of the students. We are in favor of giving students a chance to take the admission tests for the second time, he said, why should students get a chance to take the exam once. Instead, a time can be set. Five years or so can be scheduled after the SSC exam.
During this time, students can get a chance to take the admission test as many times as they want. Professor Dr. Md. Anwar added that the short syllabus and the issue of the second admission test that has come up may be discussed in the meeting of the vice-chancellors. If the VC convenes a meeting of the council, we will speak about the matter there.
Earlier, on January 19, the University Grants Commission (UGC) had written to the universities seeking their views on holding a second chance in the 2021-22 admission test and holding the admission test in light of the short syllabus. The letter said, “In a recent meeting with the UGC, The Education Minister, In a recent meeting with the UGC, in the light of the revised syllabus for HSC 2021 candidates, the admission test at the undergraduate level of the University for the year 2021-2022 and the opportunity to appear for the second admission test for the students at the undergraduate level and the admission test at the undergraduate level has given utmost importance to the information of all concerned including the students in the shortest possible time. I request you to give your university’s opinion in this regard.
