Time to apply for 44th BCS extended. Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has extended the online application for the 44th BCS exam till March 2. According to the notification, the last date for submission of online application forms for the 44th BCS examination has been rescheduled to March 2 instead of January 31. In view of this, the qualification of the applicant candidate in THE BCS has been amended.

During this period, if someone’s graduation/post-graduation examination is over, he will also get a chance to apply. This was stated in a notification signed by PSC Controller of Examinations (Cadre) Noor Ahmed on Sunday (February 13). According to the notification, if a candidate has appeared in such an examination that if he passes the examination, he will be eligible to appear in the 44th BCS if the result of that examination is not published till the last day of submission of the application form for the 44th BCS – then he can still apply online.

However, it will be accepted temporarily. Applicants must complete all the written examinations at the undergraduate level within the last day of receiving the application form for the 44th BCS. That is, those whose undergraduate exams will be completed by March 2, can apply to the 44th BCS.

In the 44th BCS, the highest number of recruitments will be in the education cadre. 776 people are to be recruited in this cadre. Apart from this, 250 people will be appointed in the administration cadre, 50 in the police, 10 in foreign affairs, 14 in Ansar, 30 for the post of Assistant Inspector General (Audit and Accounting) in the Ministry of Finance, 11 for the post of Assistant Tax Commissioner, 8 for the post of Assistant Registrar (Co-operative) and 7 for the post of Assistant Superintendent/Traffic (Railways) Registrar.
