Bangladesh Navy has published a notification for the recruitment of manpower for the post of Sailor and MODC (Naval) in batch in 2023. According to the notification, manpower will be appointed in the navy for the posts of DE or UC (Seaman, Communication and Technical), Medical, Patrolman, Writer, Store, MODC, Cook, Steward (Naval), and Topas. Online applications have already begun. Applications can be made until September 5.

Bangladesh Navy Recruitment Notification 2022, The Bangladesh Navy has released the notification for the recruitment of manpower. According to the notification released, the shrine will recruit manpower in the officer cadet batch in 2023 from the ship’s captain, aircraft pilot, naval commando, and submariner. To apply for the post of DE or UC (Seaman, Communication, and Technical), you must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination from the Department of Science with at least a GPA-3.50. However, preference will be given to candidates with higher mathematics in the SSC examination and a minimum ‘A’ grade from BN Dockyard Co-operative Society Technical Institute.

To apply for the medical post, you have to pass SSC or equivalent examination in biology with at least a GPA-3.50 from the science department. SSC pass with at least GPA-3.00 from any department for the post of Patrolman, Writer, Store, and MODC (Naval). For the post of Cook and Steward, SSC pass with at least GPA-2.50 from any department and eighth class pass for the top post.

Physical ability

For men: The height should be at least 5 feet 4 inches, weight 50 kg, chest size 30 inches in normal condition, and 32 inches in stretch condition.

For women: Height should be at least 5 feet 2 inches, weight 47 kg and chest size should be 28 inches in normal condition and 30 inches in stretch condition.

Educational Qualifications

In the science stream, you must have passed secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examinations with a minimum GPA of 4.50 and in mathematics and physics in both examinations, there should be a minimum GPA of 4.00.

For English medium students, at least three of the six subjects at the level should have an A grade and B grade in three subjects, and a B grade in at least two subjects at the A level. However, it is mandatory to have physics and mathematics subjects in both exams.

In the case of candidates working in the Armed Forces, they must have passed the Secondary and Higher Secondary (Science Department)/ equivalent examination with a minimum GPA of 4.50. In both the exams, there should be a minimum GPA of 4.0 in mathematics and physics subjects.

Age Limit: The age of the candidate should be between 16 years and six months to 21 years as of January 1, 2023, but in the case of candidates serving in the armed forces, the age should be between 18 and 23 years.

Marital Status: Both male and female candidates must be unmarried.
