Primary Assistant teacher recruitment exam to begin on April 22. In the first phase, the assistant teacher recruitment test for government primary schools will be held in 61 districts on April 22. This decision is still made by the Department of Primary Education. Of course, there is still no confusion about how many stages the test will take place. However, instructions regarding the examination will be issued by the department in the next two days.

Recently, the director-general of the directorate Alamgir Muhammad Mansoorul Alam held a virtual meeting with the district education officer and Upazila education officers. In the meeting, it was decided to conduct the written examination for the recruitment of government primary school teachers across the country on April 22 at the district level. The exam will be held in 61 districts of the country. The examination will be conducted under the supervision of the Zilla Parishad as per the policy in the three hill districts. This was revealed by the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) on Tuesday.

A senior official of the Directorate of Primary Education said that the department is still sticking to the decision that the written examination for the recruitment of teachers will be held on April 22. The admit cards will be distributed to the candidates one week before the commencement of the examination. Officials said various anomalies have been reported in the teacher recruitment examinations in the past. So we are doing everything we can to conduct this exam properly. I hold meetings at the department almost every day. This test is being viewed more seriously than anything else.

To solve this problem, the ministry has decided to recruit about 45,000 assistant teachers, including the vacant posts of the previous notification and the vacant posts after the notification. On October 25, 2020, the online application for the teacher’s exam began. A total of 13,09,461 candidates have applied. It may be recalled that the Primary Education Authority had issued a notification on October 20, 2020, for recruitment to 32,577 vacant posts of assistant teachers. But due to the corona epidemic, it was not possible to conduct the exam. More than 10,000 posts of assistant teachers have already fallen vacant due to retirement.
