Rabi’s in-person classes to be closed until February 21. The closure of classes in Rajshahi University has been extended by 15 days. This information was given in a notification sent by the public relations department of the university at 3 pm on Thursday (February 03). In the wake of the notification issued by the Cabinet Department on January 21, the teaching in the general classroom of Rajshahi University will be closed from February 7 to 21. However, the concerned departments/institutes can continue the online education activities through a mutual contact with their respective students.

Earlier, due to the increase in the incidence of corona in the country, on January 21, the Health Ministry had ordered the closure of educational institutions for 14 days. In view of this, in an emergency meeting that afternoon, the Rabi administration announced that the university would remain open in a limited way and close the in-person teaching till February 6.

The offices of the university will be open in a limited manner from every Sunday to Thursday (except public holidays) from 9 am to 2 pm in accordance with hygiene. Apart from this, emergency services such as electricity, gas, water, internet, medical services, cleanliness, etc. will remain operational as usual, the notification said.
