11-point notification extending restrictions till February 21. An 11-point notification was issued extending the restrictions till February 21. A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Department on Thursday (February 3). According to the notification, in view of the outbreak of the new variant of The Corona Virus Disease (Cocciv-19) and the current situation of the disease in Bangladesh, all the restrictions and instructions issued earlier have been amended with the following conditions and restrictions have been imposed on the overall functioning. The restrictions will remain in force from February 7 to 11 till 12 pm.

The new restrictions

No more than 100 public gatherings can be held in open spaces and inside buildings on social/political/religious occasions. In such cases, those who will join must bring a Coviv vaccination certificate or a PCR certificate within 24 hours.

Masks must be used outside the house, including in the official court. Mobile courts have to be conducted across the country to prevent disturbances in maintaining hygiene.

In order to sit in the restaurant and eat food and stay in a residential hotel, you must show the corona vaccination certificate.

  1. No student above 12 years of age will be allowed to enter educational institutions without a vaccination certificate after the date fixed by the Ministry of Education.

  2. The number of screenings at land ports, seaports, airports should be increased. The ports will have to prohibit crews from coming out of the ship. Even at land ports, only drivers can be accompanied by trucks coming from outside the country. No assistant can come. Visitors accompanying foreigners will have to stop entering the airport.

Trains, buses, and launches can carry half the capacity of passengers. The authorities concerned will issue specific instructions in this regard including the date of functioning. Drivers and assistants of all types of vehicles must be certified for covid-19 vaccination.

  1. Everyone, including passengers arriving from abroad, will have to display the mandatory Covid-19 vaccination certificate and undergo a rapid antigen test.

Imams will make the concerned aware about the observance of hygiene and wearing of masks in all the mosques of the country. This will be confirmed by the deputy commissioner and Upazila executive officers.

  1. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will take necessary publicity and initiatives to expedite the adoption of the corona vaccine and booster doses by the public. In this case, the help of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will be taken.

  2. Due to the increasing rate of Covid cases, all kinds of social, political, and religious events or gatherings in the open will have to be closed until further notice.

  3. In case of a special situation arises in an area, the local administration can take action in consultation with the concerned people.
