Dhaka University is no longer having physical classes, the hall is open. Dhaka University is no longer having physical classes, the hall is open. Due to the surge in corona infections, the university authorities on January 21 kept the hall open for two weeks and closed the classes. Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Md. Akhtaruzzaman gave this information on Saturday afternoon.

 

The ongoing holiday of educational institutions in the country has been extended by two more weeks as the coronavirus infection is not under control. In line with the government’s decision, the Dhaka University authorities are also not going to the class for the time being.  However, the university’s residential halls remain open “in accordance with hygiene”. Vice-Chancellor Md. Akhtaruzzaman said, “Our decisions are being taken in line with the national decisions. For now, we’re not going to class. A decision will be taken in this regard considering the situation.

 

However, the halls will remain open in the same way as they are open in accordance with hygiene. There will also be online classes. The way the department-institutes are conducting the test in person according to hygiene will also continue. Small practical classes are also running in person. The university offices are currently running till 3 p.m.
