In-person classes at Jagannath University begin on February 22. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Deans Committee. This was stated in a press release signed by the university’s registrar engineer Mo Ohiduzzaman on Thursday (February 17). According to the notification, in view of the decision of the Deans’ Committee meeting held on February 17, in-person classes will start from February 22 at Jagannath University in accordance with government hygiene.

Besides, the ongoing semester exams will also continue as usual. In-person classes will be started at Jagannath University (JU) from February 22. Earlier, educational institutions were closed from January 21 to February 6 to prevent corona infection. After that, the government decided to extend the closure of educational institutions for two more weeks. It ends on February 21.

According to the notification, the date of commencement of classes will be intimated to the students admitted in the 1st year of 1st semester of 2020-2021 later. In a press briefing at the Ministry of Education after 11 pm today, the Education Minister said that in-person teaching from secondary to higher education institutions will start from Tuesday (February 22).
