Accordingly, the decision to extend the holidays of educational institutions may come this week itself.

In this situation, the government is thinking of giving holidays to all educational institutions from April 22 in line with the primary. According to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi), the holidays of educational institutions may be increased. A meeting between Maushi and the ministry of education is likely to take place in a couple of days. There will be a discussion about the holiday.

Regarding the holidays, the education administration says that it has been decided to hold classes in the month of Ramadan to meet the shortage of learning in the corona period. However, teachers, students, and parents say it is inhuman to take classes while fasting in the heat. This may reduce the attendance of students. According to the government announcement, the primary school holidays during Ramadan will start on April 22. Classes in secondary and higher education institutions will continue till April 26.

Earlier on Friday, in response to questions from reporters, Education Minister Dr. Deepu Mani said, “It is hot in the month of Ramadan, everyone wants classes to be closed. It’s very important to take classes now. I haven’t been in the classroom for two years. If you can’t take classes now, it will be difficult to finish the syllabus. However, in conjunction with the primary, secondary, and higher secondary is being considered to be closed from April 22. ’

Prof Nehal Ahmed, director general of Maushi, said, “If classes are continued during the month of Ramzan, the hardships will increase. It is also difficult for students to sit for the exam without completing the syllabus. The decision to hold classes has been taken as educational institutions have been closed for a long time. There is also the SSC-HSC exam. However, the idea of bringing the holidays forward a bit is on, and the ministry also agreed. A decision on the holiday will be announced after discussion. ’
