The 17th teacher registration process is awaiting approval

The 17th teacher registration process is awaiting approval. According to sources, the notification for the 17th teacher registration was released by the Private Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) on January 23, 2020. According to the information given in the notification, on May 15 of that year, the date of the school level preliminary examination was given at the school level and in the afternoon at the college level. However, before this, when the corona infection started in the country, the registration process was stopped.

The Ministry of Education has been accused of oversaturation in publishing the new notification for the 17th teacher registration. Permission to publish the new notification was sought a month ago, but the ministry has not yet approved it. About 12 lakh candidates who are waiting for the preliminary examination have been affected.

The NTRCA said it has sought permission from the Ministry of Education to publish the new notification for the 17th registration. In January, a letter seeking permission was sent, but the ministry has not yet given permission. The dates for the preliminary examination will be announced in a quick time after getting the approval.

In this regard, NTRCA chairman Enamul Quader Khan said that the permission of the Ministry of Education has been sought to publish the new notification of the 17th registration. Applications from the candidates will be accepted if they get permission from the ministry. After that, the date of the preliminary examination will be announced in a quick time. He also said that we have plans to conduct this registration preliminary exam in the current financial year.

Meanwhile, two years have passed since the publication of the notification, but the job seekers have expressed disappointment that they are not able to conduct the preliminary examination yet. The candidates, who are waiting due to various problems including age lapses, have demanded that the exams be held in quick time. They say that due to the short-sightedness of the then NTRCA officials, it is not possible to conduct the preliminary examination yet.

In this regard, the candidate who applied for the 17th registration, Robiul Sunny, said that even in the corona situation, the examination of big circulars of various government jobs including PSC, government banks, food department has been held. However, the NTRCA could not take any decision on the 17th registration test on the pretext of corona. In such a situation, many have reached the age of 35 or have reached the age of thirty-five, then the desire to engage in the great profession of becoming a teacher may remain elusive for the rest of their lives. Therefore, I humbly request the NTRCA to take up the examination expeditiously considering the humanitarian aspect.

The NTRCA recommends the appointment of entry level teachers in private schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutions. Until 2015, they were only issuing certificates. Appointments were made through the committee. However, since 2015, ntrca has been appointing teachers on the basis of merit in addition to issuing registration certificates due to various questions raised about the appointment through the committee.
