National University Convocation Registration 2024: National University is going to organize the convocation for the second time after six years. The university authorities have already started preparations for the convocation. A letter has been sent to the new President and Chancellor of the university Md. Shahabuddin to pay a courtesy call on the second convocation of the university. If found in a courtesy call, efforts will be made to organize this convocation with him at the end of this year. In addition, if the convocation is postponed for any reason, the convocation will be held early next year immediately after the national election.
The journey of the National University started in 1992. The university has held its convocation only once in the last 31 years. After 25 years of its establishment, the first convocation was held on January 17, 2017. The convocation was held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the presence of the President and the Chancellor of the university. After six years, the authorities decided to hold the second convocation. The decision was taken at a meeting with the heads of the departments to evaluate the progress of the work of the last two years at the Senate Hall of the National University main campus in Gazipur on April 30. DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Mashiur Rahman presided over the meeting. Regarding the convocation, Professor Dr. Mashiur Rahman said that the second convocation has been postponed due to the Corona period. Earlier, we wanted to hold this convocation during the tenure of the former chancellor and the outgoing president of the university.

Dr. Mashiur Rahman said that there is a clear plan to hold the second convocation of the National University with President Md. Shahabuddin this year. If it is postponed for any reason, the second convocation will be held immediately after the election.
Asked how many students will be able to participate in the convocation, the VC said the first convocation was held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center last time. If we consider it again, then it does not have a capacity of more than two and a half thousand, it is not possible. Students who have registered earlier will be given priority in participating in the convocation. The last certificate will be given to everyone at the convocation. Dr. Mashiur Rahman said that he also wants to organize regular convocation at the National University.
