Subject and number distribution of 44th BCS examination. There will be a test of 35 marks in Bengali Language and Literature, English Language and Literature 35, Bangladesh Subjects 30, International Subjects 20, Geography (Bangladesh and World), Environment and Disaster Management 10, General Science 15, Computer and Information Technology 15, Mathematical Reasoning 15, Mental Skills 15, Mental Skills 15, Ethics, Values, and Good Governance.

For the general cadre, the written exam will consist of 200 questions in Bengali 200, English 200, Bangladesh Subjects 200, International Subjects 100, Mathematical Logic, and Mental Skills 100 (MCQ 50 questions of mental skills test). You will get 1 mark for each correct answer and 50 marks can be deducted for each wrong answer) and general science and technology 100. The oral exam will be of 200 marks. However, professional/technical cadre candidates will have a test of 100 marks instead of 200 marks in Bengali, 200 marks in relevant subjects of the respective posts instead of general science and technology subjects.
