He said this at the inauguration of the new curriculum of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board on Saturday (February 19). He said that if the piloting program of the new curriculum is successful, the implementation will start from the 6th and 7th standard initially from 2023 next year. And in 2024, it will be implemented in the 8th and 9th classes.

According to the current curriculum, there is a holiday in educational institutions only on Fridays. But once the implementation of the new curriculum begins, Saturday will be a holiday along with Friday. Piloting of the new curriculum will begin on a trial basis from February 22. The Education Minister said that in the next year, the new curriculum books will be taught in classes 6 and 7 and in 2024 in classes 8 and 9.
