Dhaka University of Decision to cancel ‘D’ unit. the final. Accordingly, it has been decided to cancel the ‘D’ unit of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Dhaka University (DU) admission test. The decision was taken at a regular meeting of the syndicate, the highest policy-making forum of the university, on Sunday (March 27).

In today’s syndicate meeting held at the Senate Building held at The Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building of the University, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman presided over the meeting. After the meeting, a press release from the Public Relations Office said that in the meeting, it was decided to admit students through four restructured units in Dhaka University from the academic year 2022-2023.

The four units restructured are (1) Arts, Law, and Social Sciences Units (2) Science Units (3) Business Education Units, and (4) Fine Arts Units. In the academic year 2021-2022, the admission test will be held in all the five units of ‘A, B, C, D, and F’ as before. Earlier, a preliminary decision was taken at a meeting of various forums of the university. The approval was given at a meeting of the university’s academic council on Monday.

Earlier, the decision was also approved by the general admission committee meeting of the university on February 16. As a result, Dhaka university will have admission tests in five units (a, b, c, d, and f) in the upcoming academic year 2021-22 as usual. However, from the academic year 2022-23, the exam will be held in four units. There will be no units of the faculty of social sciences, the examination will be held in four units. Along with this, the names of the units will also be changed.
