The in-person classes of the primary school will start on March 2. According to the notification signed by the ministry’s deputy secretary Mohammad Kamal Hossain, due to the continuous increase in the infection of the new variant of coronavirus in the country, according to the February 3 directive of the cabinet department, the classrooms of all educational institutions in the country have been stopped till February 21. In-person classes of primary schools, which have been closed due to Corona, will start from March 2.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Sunday (February 20). It has been said that classroom teaching in primary schools will start from March 02, 2022, as it was Shab-e-Meraj on March 01. In continuation of this, all types of government/private primary schools and classrooms in kindergartens will be closed till March 1.
It was requested to take necessary measures to open all primary schools in the country from March 2 and start classroom teaching activities. Meanwhile, all educational institutions in the country will be opened from March 1, cabinet secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said. He said this at a briefing after the cabinet meeting today.
The secretary also said that from March 1, all educational institutions will be open, but pre-primary education activities will remain closed. At the same time, there will be no corona restrictions from February 22. The education minister said that from February 22, all educational institutions in the country will be able to take classes and exams in person. However, not all students will get this opportunity. Only those who have received two doses of the vaccine can take classes in person. The rest will have to take online classes. Primary schools will open from March 1. However, it has not yet been decided to open pre-primary schools.
