According to the statement, the new moon of Shawwal month of 1445 Hijri will be born at 12:21 am Bangladesh Standard Time on April 9, the age of the moon will be 0.7480 days at sunset and the moon will set after 22 minutes and 7 seconds after sunset. On the same day, the Pratipada (first) will end at 9:01 pm and the second will begin.
According to the Meteorological Department, the moon sighting time on April 9 is from 6:38 am to 7:05 pm. On the other hand, the moon will be 1.7483 days old at sunset on April 10 and the moon will set 1 hour 28 minutes and 6 seconds after the end of evening twilight.
A weather official said the moon will be less than a day old on April 9. The moon will be at an angle of only 9 degrees to the horizon. It will also stay in the sky for a short time. So the possibility of seeing the moon with the naked eye is very low. Meanwhile, the moon is more likely to be sighted on April 10 and the holy Eid-ul-Fitr may be on April 11. The National Moon Sighting Committee will sit in a meeting at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on April 9 to fix the date of Eid-ul-Fitr. However, according to Islamic Sharia, there is a condition to see the moon with the a n k e d eyes at the beginning of the lunar month.
The National Moon Sighting Committee decides against taking information from the District Moon Sighting Committee, headed by the Deputy Commissioners of 64 districts. Officials of the Islamic Foundation are the member secretaries of the district moon sighting committee.
